Santa Croce was established by the religious order known as the Franciscans. It is full of Italian culture. The walls are adorned with elaborate frescoes by Giotto. The church contains the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli and a monument in honor of Dante. Donatello's "Crucifix." at Santa Croce is full of history and it tells many stories.
