Bob Fritz, son of Elsie and the late Lester Fritz, led us in prayer to begin the day. 

Wonderful dishes of pierogies, haluski, barbecue, hot dogs, baked beans, beans and franks, oriental slaw, pasta salad, deviled eggs, KFC chicken and cole slaw, mustard potato salad, chips, pretzels, macaroni salad, fresh cut pineapple, apple berry pie, Jell-O, Rice Krispies treats, Hershey’s candies, brownies, cheesecake, Snickerdoodles,…

No Recording Secretary report as Kitty could not make it but no problem since the information is available on FritzFamily.com’s reunion page.

Ruth read a letter from Evelyn Kascavage who can no longer make it to reunions.  It was a lovely comment on how she enjoyed the reunions and wishes us the best.
3 monetary donations were mailed to Ruth
Jack Claypotch volunteered to pay the postage to mail the invitations but the Fritz Reunion treasury covered it.

Old Business
– Mailing List decreased with the invitation asking if people would like to remain on the list or not
-2007 location – the attendees allowed us to have the 2007 reunion at Jim Thorpe Memorial Park unless through research the Fritz Reunion Committee finds and votes to go to a better place with comparable/better facilities, is easy to find, and is close to many attendees

New Business
- Howie Fritz mentioned that his son suggested holding the reunion every other or every 5 years or so but attendees stated that they would like to keep is as every year and that they realize attendance fluctuates but not to let it be disheartening
- Angelina mentioned that anyone looking for a fundraiser can sell Fritz Family Cookbooks if they’d like and have proceeds from the sales for their group

David would like to get another book together perhaps in 2 years but that’s not firm

David would like to get the family tree boards updated.  Al Fritz has the paper but they are trying to figure out the logistics.  The tree is so large that it will be difficult to come up with a layout to fit everyone on and Al would like a board design that is free standing once put together.  They will investigate options.

Election of New Officers

Since no one would take the position as President Angelina will remain President but Juli’ Maher volunteered to be a co-President with Angelina to hold the planning meeting.

Herb Curvey will remain VP.
Donna Maser will remain Treasurer.

Ruth Throne will remain Corresponding Secretary but she would like someone to volunteer to replace her.

Catherine Stroup cannot be the Recording Secretary since there was no reunion planning meeting so David Allan F. said that he will take that position also.

Attendees were able to take home ‘pedigree’ sheets so that they can fill in their family information and mail or e-mail the updates to David.  His address and e-mail address were provided in the programs Angelina  made and everyone was reminded that they can visit the website for information at any time.

After the meeting people mingled, submitted photos for scanning by Angelina and update information for the family tree entered by David, children’s games led by Jill Thompson with prizes she bought, a game for everyone called “What’s in the Box’ led by Angelina with prizes bought by her, and supper.  Due to the heat and humidity of the day everyone left a little earlier than usual with all leaving by 5pm.
